DINING AT THE RANCH
An Outstanding Tradition
You'll soon discover that at the Flying U Ranch the meals will be one of the most memorable parts of your stay.
The dinners kick things off with socializing and drinks in the saloon followed by a delicious meal served up in our open beamed dining hall featuring carefully crafted and regionally inspired dishes. They are served on ranch style solid oak tables for 8 to 10 guests where you will be looked after with attentive staff looking after your every need.
Every evening at dinner is a social event where we do "self-introductions" and the wranglers award guests with fun and memorable presentations. The dress code is anything but formal. And you will find that jeans and boots pair well with a rack of ribs, beef tenderloin and poached salmon. Complement your dinner with a bottle of wine and try to leave room for a slice of home-made pie.

THE RANCH FOOD
We take great pride in serving excellent food, whether on a cook-out BBQ, or in our oak log dining room. We offer a fabulous mix of guest ranch cuisine with a gourmet flair.
The day starts with our sumptuous all you can eat breakfast buffet. It typically includes fresh local fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cold cereal and coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
Our lunch buffets are legendary with our own homemade soups and salads, sandwiches, pastas, fresh fruit and vegetable platters and kids’ meals of hot dogs and french fries.
Dinners are generous portions, and everything is homemade from fresh cuts of meat, fish, or poultry and natural ingredients. Depending on the day, meals will vary between generous cuts of marbled steak, poached salmon, stuffed chicken or roast half chickens, pasta nights and juicy western style BBQ Ribs. You will be treated to home-baked breads, buns, desserts, cinnamon rolls and jumbo cowboy cookies all baked fresh daily in our own kitchen.
During the summer months we shop at local markets for locally grown strawberries, corn, cherries, blueberries, and raspberries and more. Wednesday night is our outdoor BBQ night and Fridays is our all you can eat Pizza and Chicken Wings. Our pizzas are made right at the ranch from scratch and are not prepackaged. And the ranch always has 24-hour coffee and tea, hot chocolate, homemade cowboy cookies, and fresh fruit bar!
Special Diets & Vegetarian Offerings
While we specialize in traditional cowboy meals, we also offer great vegetarian offerings like our vegetarian egg’s benny breakfast. We are also happy to work with any food or dietary restrictions. But please notify us in advance of any special needs.
