The 2024 season begins May 6 with the fresh invigorating Cariboo Spring. The ice is off the lake and the grass is turning green. This is the ideal time for people who prefer a quiet ranch with the trails to themselves. The pastures and trails are lush and green and the birds and wildlife are active.

Spring Wrangler Week

May 6 - 10, 2024

How would you like to be a wrangler in training? The ranch will be open May 6 - 10 for guests who would like to join us in our annual spring work party (16 years and older). Fixing fences, opening trails, piling firewood, cleaning up the tack room, and sprucing up the grounds. There's fellowship, great meals, nightly camp fires, and lots of chances to ride. Cost is just $199 per day and that includes food, lodging, and a horse assigned to you for the entire stay. In return, all you do is help out in the mornings.

Opening Weekend

May 10 - 13, 2024

Grand opening weekend! Special shoulder season rates and great vibrant Spring weather and lush green aspen trails. Meet our new and expanded herd of riding horses. Meet our new staff, try some complimentary wine and sample the new 2024 menu features.

May Long Weekend

May 17 - 20, 2024

Our first long weekend of the year is when things get busy and the ranch starts to fill up with families and friends. It's a weekend of riding in great May weather followed up by extra activities and surprises in the evenings!

June 20 to September 21

The summers in BC's Cariboo region are sunny and warm which is ideal for both horseback riding and summer activities by the lake. This is our family period with children on school vacation. The lake is perfect for swimming and we also have tubing and boat rides every afternoon. This is ideal for guests who enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy ranch with campfires, archery, canoeing, sing songs, karaoke and quiet evenings on the dock listening to the loons.

July Long Weekend

June 28 - July 1, 2024

This is the special weekend every yea when school is out and the ranch fills up with families and children of all ages. Lots of special activities, supervised trail rides, special food treats for the kids, lawn games and tubing.

August 2 - 5, 2024

With some of the best weather of the season, join us for the BC Day Long weekend. Spend the morning on the trails and the afternoon on the lake tubing or water skiing. With only a couple cabins left for this weekend, make sure to call in and book your spot so you don't miss out on your BC Day vacay!

Labour Day Weekend

August 30 - September 1, 2024

It's the last weekend before school and work starts back up. Remember, if you want to enjoy a long weekend at the ranch book your cabin early.

September 22 to October 14

Many guests choose the fall for the clear cool days of riding in the brilliant fall colours. The cabins are heated by wood stoves and are nice and warm in the evenings, perfect to curl up and read a book.

Fall Wrangler Week

October 7 - 11, 2024

Last chance to be a wrangler for a week in 2024. Our fall week is a little different than our Spring work party. Instead of setting up for the season we are preparing for winter. Its all about fixing fences, piling firewood, cleaning up the tack room, putting equipment away and cleaning up the pastures. There's fellowship, great meals, nightly camp fires and lots of chances to ride. Dogs welcome if they want to help. Cost is just $199.00 per day and that includes food, lodging and a horse assigned to you for the stay. In return all you do is help out in the mornings.

Thanksgiving Weekend

October 11 - 14, 2024

People love riding in the cool, crisp colours of fall at the Flying U. Let us serve you your favourite Thanksgiving meal, turkey and ham. Tasty vegetarian options are available as well. We will do all the cooking and cleaning, all you have to do is bring the family.
